Year 1984 when couple Peter and Anita Clorina started their restaurant in the corner of Ramirez and Don Placido Campos Streets in Dasmarinas, Cavite as a typical “carinderia”.

It is popular among students in nearby schools. Because of this, they stopped serving beer and converted the “carinderia” into a fastfood restaurant called Countryside Tapsi-Steak House which sells mostly T-bone steak & “tapsilog”. The menu is moderate sized, and moderate-low priced. With the need to expand, they decided to loan from a livelihood cooperative a modest amount of money. They then put up Malihan Branch in 1990, just blocks away to serve their increasing customers, mostly students.

A new name for the restaurant is adopted, Countryside Steakhouse and Restaurant. With five children to send to school, it took them another five years to open up another branch, the one located in front of Dela Salle Medical Center. Since then, not only did the loyal students from schools often visit the place but also the employees from several surrounding offices and other people from all walks of life. Wanting to penetrate the market outside of Dasmarinas, the couple established a new branch in 2003, this time in Imus, Cavite.

With the humble belief that the business can still go places, they converted it into a corporation with Pete and Nitz Foods, Inc. as its corporate name. At present, store rehabilitation is continuous in order to improve the appearance of each branch, the quality of service to the customers and the taste of food that keeps the people coming back to their restaurant. Several additions to their menu have been made and they are now PMCCountryside Steakhouse and Café and PMCCountryside Burger House (Open 24 Hours). For more than twenty years, they were able to create a reputation of quality and consistency of their food that makes them thriving in the highly competitive food market.
